The mosaic
Grain, density, surface and color. The material can be subdivided into fundamental qualities that become a new project. This way, Giaguaro was born. A mosaic placed into a marble slab from which the tesseras were extracted and then the pieces were patiently cut and reinserted into the original marble slab to obtain the desired effect. Background and subject are in dialogue with each other, interchanging roles, but both taking the center space. Decomposition and re-composition unveil each other highlighting the jaguar, creating a suggestive effect, almost mimetic and definitely impacting.
