In Your Hands

Produced by the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See

Inspired by the teachings of Pope Leo XIV in his encyclical Magnifica Humanitas and in his reflections on technological ethics, the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See chose to dedicate a documentary to Progetto Arte Poli as a living emblem of the artistic workshop where traditional craftsmanship continues to be preserved and flourish.

In an age increasingly shaped by A.I. and automated processes, Pope Leo XIV has repeatedly affirmed that technology must remain at the service of humanity and must never replace human creativity, manual skill or the spiritual dimension of artistic expression. His magisterium highlights the profound value of craftsmanship as a “slowness that generates beauty” standing in contrast to the dehumanizing speed of algorithms and mass production.

Progetto Arte Poli embodies these principles through the preservation of ancient artistic techniques, the dedication to manual work and the passionate transmission of knowledge from master artisans to younger generations. Within its workshop, creativity — combined with experience, passion and craftsmanship — gives life to unique artworks, expressions of artisanal tradition and authentic human resourcefulness that no artificial system can imitate or replace.

The documentary therefore aims to celebrate Progetto Arte Poli not only as a center of artistic excellence, but also as a testimony to the enduring human capacity to shape matter with sensitivity, vision and faithfulness to tradition, ensuring that these timeless values continue to inspire future generations.
